about

Om Records’ first lady, Colette, returns with ‘Push’ the highly anticipated follow up to her critically acclaimed Billboard Magazine No. 1 charting debut ‘Hypnotized’ – featuring the hit singles ‘About Us,’ ‘If,’ and ‘Funny’ featuring a collaboration with Om: Hip Hop newcomer Black Spade. Given her art for stylistically blending her own beautiful classically trained voice with some of the most cutting edge production of her career, Push aims to take Colette into the large global dance and alternative pop worlds.

Performing at over a hundred shows a year in front of audiences around the world including Coachella, The Grammys, MAC Cosmetics special events and more – while maintaining her monthly residency in Chicago at Smart Bar, and leading the charge for female DJ’s with the first ever all-women DJ collective, Superjane – and releasing multiple DJ mixed compilations including a volume in the heralded ‘House of Om’ series with label mates Mark Farina, Kaskade, DJ Sneak and more, plus licensing her music to the International hit film “The Devil Wears Prada,” the impact of Colette and her music is virtually everywhere.

Inspired by her house music upbringing in the birth place of the beat,
Chicago, ‘Push’ harks back to the days where electro, house, hip hop and freestyle music ruled the airwaves and caught the attention of not just the street savvy youth, but the global dance / pop scene and MTV, who actually broke new artists. Chock-full of undeniable hooks and body rocking beats that reach back to the past while equally pushing forward into the future, Colette has done something few seem to do these days: create a complete album of hits that will grab anyone with a love for good music.

about

Colette Los Angeles, California

With her disarming doe eyes and a heartwarming demeanor, Colette possesses the unmistakable voice of post-millennial house music. Whereas in the late 80s, the diva reigned supreme and made the music cower, Colette has kept it deliciously simple and always melodic, making the former choirgirl-cum-Chicago-house-siren a mainstay of modern dance music. ... more
